Being in private practice can be overwhelming when insurance and billing is added to the mix. Being able to handle the nuances of mental health billing can definitely lighten the load on practitioners.
Once counselors have mastered mental health billing, being able to communicate with insurance companies is a must! Within this workshop, practitioners can develop a deeper understanding into insurance companies and how they play a part in mental health billing.
After taking this workshop, clinicians can put more time and energy into counseling and feel better about the billing and insurance part of business!
Alyssa Peters is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho. She has been a counselor for 4 years in her own private practice. She specializes in marriage and family counseling. Her interests include working with couples who have experienced grief and loss as well as couples who suffer with infertility. She also works with individuals experiencing postpartum mood disorders. She enjoys helping families work on healthy communication and identifying needs within the family unit. Working alongside her clients, she hopes to enable understanding of responsibility and control each individual has over them and what they bring to the systemic structure as a whole. She is a Clinical Supervisor at her practice, Treasure Wellness Counseling and Training Center, supervising graduate student interns from online and area universities as well as professionals seeking clinical licensure. Alyssa has been an approved clinical supervisor for 2 years.
